u think malaysia damn big issit?

Kluang was fun and xian. Sounds contradictory? Well, that's what I felt about Kluang, so i have no idea whether i liked it or not. Anyway, on day one did nothing in particular except pitch tents for 1.5 hrs, while in BB we take 6mins, and went for a totally pointless nightwalk. Of course there were fun parts; our class cheers and taking the mickey out of ken tay, the sec 3 malaysian who told us to watch out cos he was on 'home turf'. Anyway, there were 5 people in an 8-man tent so it was pretty comfortable. For supper we got ramly burgers, and most people were excited cos they had tasted ramly burgers before, unfortunately, i hadn't. It was pretty good for a plain burger, and the food in Kluang was the best camp food i ever had.
The next day was the hike up some mountain. Got used to the rocks, branches, and steepness of the slope after a while, and thought it was fun! I was in the middle with Ali, and we had to keep tracking back to make sure the front didn't lose the back. Made lots of dumb jokes and comments while climbing down, such as, "don't stone over there, otherwise you will blend in!". After lunch, team courageous had to find pendants using a crap map. Jarvin was a superb map-reader, and TP also found loads of pendants. Ivan was busy trying to motivate us to find the pendants, while ZH and friends were using sticks and branches as swords... We ended finding the most pendants, lol, and the other half of our class spent the afternoon throwing stones into the pond.
The next main activity was canoeing, where i partnered darren. Quite fun, except the SOS part, cos we didn't start a fire, didn't make a SOS sign, and the mosquitoes were bothering me to the core. After lunch, we got to get into the shit water which was also a pond. We had to build a raft and get across to the other side, which of course didn't work out, despite our group using me as a propellar to help drive it forward. Everyone ended up in the water with me though, touching a slimy pond floor, with snail shells and spiders on the water surface. After rebuilding our raft, I got to paddle this time, and it worked! I got off at the other side and decided to swim back to help out. In the end, I ended up playing with seah and co. by somersaulting in the water from the bank. That night was campfire, and our skit was in shambles. In the end the whole campfire was a failure anyway, cos the long grass had thorny mimosa and other sorts of plants which cut our butt, the fire lasted about 10 minutes before dying into an ember, and most of the groups didn't do a good job anyway. So we decided to sing our 'Chairman Seow' anthem. There were a few laughs though; the geps parodying the ymca song, the instructors pronouncing 'encore' in a totally singlish way, etc.
Last day was a waste of time. We could have struck our tents, had breakfast, and gone, but no, they made us wait a lot, have lunch 2hrs after breakfast, and go to Giant for sightseeing and a spot of shopping...wth. I also burnt a small hole in the tent as i was fed up with the countless mosquitoes attacking me. Since everybody had fun burning grass and ants, I decided to have fun burning up a mosquito which had landed on the tent. I killed the darn thing, but also burnt a small hole. Luckily we struck our tents down before any teacher saw the little burn mark around the hole.
Well, this is my summarised rundown on this year's oep. Hope there's a real one to a place like Australia or China or Thailand again next year, not to a place 1.5 hrs away by bus, not aeroplane.

Tiger Cup "fever"

Haha, haven't updated in ages. Anyway, holidays, was ok, the football matches, shopping, watching musicals, etc. Had a nice new year, and begun the school year by playing warcraft at 3 am with my bored sisters as we were all jet-lagged. School's damn xian...damn timetable sucks, but the teachers are ok...physics is the new c math, c math teacher rocks (as in he compels us to study math properly, on top of having a calculator-like brain and a thick accent), see teck hock is not the evil macho teacher my seniors made him out to be, in fact, he's a really good pct and bio teacher! stevie is as sarcastic as ever, dharma is teaching us, ali chew is really full of pointless but interesting facts, while judy ho is sort of like siva ( as in she finds it tough to control us). Grey level rocks, as its near the SAC, and the teachers dont pop by to scold us, and the chinese teacher...she's some anoerexic person who looks like a skeleton, is damn naggy, and is a pretty good teacher as well, so i dont hate her but dont like her either. Oh how i miss chin hawr and mun sung...
Anyway, yesterday 'ran' 12 km for AQ training, did 140 push ups, 120 sit ups, and some football. At night when to Ali's house to watch Man U vs Liverpool. Yi Yang and Ali supported Pool, Seow and I supported Man U. Well, WE WON!!!! Today went to 8.30 am service, its ok lah, before packing for Kluang. Watched the Tiger Cup final with Seow and a bunch of other Enoch ppl. The stadium was full, and Singapore outnumbered Indonesia by a huge margin, but the atmosphere sucked. The EPL stadiums which I went to were miles louder than the crap atmosphere which was dished out by fans. We tried making up some chants and were generally enthusiatic but besides a couple of fanatics and patches of loud fans (like us), the atmosphere was flat. Well, we were jumping up and down when we scored, and shouting together when things happened, but the atmosphere wasnt good enough. Anyway, I'd like to congratulate Singapore for winning the tiger cup, and drong as well cos the ACS brand of education rocks, as we discovered today. We didnt follow the dumb crowd when getting into the stadium, as we had eyes to see that there was a shortcut. In fact, there were shortcuts all over the place which people didnt take cos they probably didnt have the initiative or were simply too ignorant of their surroundings to notice these not-so-subtle pathways. Geez, Singaporeans love to flock together...even if it means taking a long way, thank goodness for ACS. I can't believe I'm saying that. Well, tomorrow we're off to Kluang, Malaysia for LDP camp. I hope its fun, goodnight and good bye, until I next find a computer, or have inspiration to write down rubbish on this blog.
