u think malaysia damn big issit?

Kluang was fun and xian. Sounds contradictory? Well, that's what I felt about Kluang, so i have no idea whether i liked it or not. Anyway, on day one did nothing in particular except pitch tents for 1.5 hrs, while in BB we take 6mins, and went for a totally pointless nightwalk. Of course there were fun parts; our class cheers and taking the mickey out of ken tay, the sec 3 malaysian who told us to watch out cos he was on 'home turf'. Anyway, there were 5 people in an 8-man tent so it was pretty comfortable. For supper we got ramly burgers, and most people were excited cos they had tasted ramly burgers before, unfortunately, i hadn't. It was pretty good for a plain burger, and the food in Kluang was the best camp food i ever had.
The next day was the hike up some mountain. Got used to the rocks, branches, and steepness of the slope after a while, and thought it was fun! I was in the middle with Ali, and we had to keep tracking back to make sure the front didn't lose the back. Made lots of dumb jokes and comments while climbing down, such as, "don't stone over there, otherwise you will blend in!". After lunch, team courageous had to find pendants using a crap map. Jarvin was a superb map-reader, and TP also found loads of pendants. Ivan was busy trying to motivate us to find the pendants, while ZH and friends were using sticks and branches as swords... We ended finding the most pendants, lol, and the other half of our class spent the afternoon throwing stones into the pond.
The next main activity was canoeing, where i partnered darren. Quite fun, except the SOS part, cos we didn't start a fire, didn't make a SOS sign, and the mosquitoes were bothering me to the core. After lunch, we got to get into the shit water which was also a pond. We had to build a raft and get across to the other side, which of course didn't work out, despite our group using me as a propellar to help drive it forward. Everyone ended up in the water with me though, touching a slimy pond floor, with snail shells and spiders on the water surface. After rebuilding our raft, I got to paddle this time, and it worked! I got off at the other side and decided to swim back to help out. In the end, I ended up playing with seah and co. by somersaulting in the water from the bank. That night was campfire, and our skit was in shambles. In the end the whole campfire was a failure anyway, cos the long grass had thorny mimosa and other sorts of plants which cut our butt, the fire lasted about 10 minutes before dying into an ember, and most of the groups didn't do a good job anyway. So we decided to sing our 'Chairman Seow' anthem. There were a few laughs though; the geps parodying the ymca song, the instructors pronouncing 'encore' in a totally singlish way, etc.
Last day was a waste of time. We could have struck our tents, had breakfast, and gone, but no, they made us wait a lot, have lunch 2hrs after breakfast, and go to Giant for sightseeing and a spot of shopping...wth. I also burnt a small hole in the tent as i was fed up with the countless mosquitoes attacking me. Since everybody had fun burning grass and ants, I decided to have fun burning up a mosquito which had landed on the tent. I killed the darn thing, but also burnt a small hole. Luckily we struck our tents down before any teacher saw the little burn mark around the hole.
Well, this is my summarised rundown on this year's oep. Hope there's a real one to a place like Australia or China or Thailand again next year, not to a place 1.5 hrs away by bus, not aeroplane.
