BB, waterpolo, dinner, can't I just turn back time?
Saturday really is the crappiest, yet most interesting day of the week. I skipped waterpolo cos it was raining, but the BB was really shocking. First, I saw the waterpolo players in school at 1.15pm, so crap, nobody had the guts to skip one training-or is it the other way around?Hmm... After 'ushering' and setting up the buffet, we started playing with Jerome's food, like spraying whipped cream onto the beginning of our digestive system. I actually meant to give the food back to Jerome but oh well... that's the price you pay for not being their and your stuff is in your friend's hands. Sorry about that...
The worship session was awesome, far better than chapel. I think the decibel level must have been 10 times higher with 15times less people. For a long time, and even right now, I have believed that people don't sing during chapel as the organisers don't seem to know how to choose songs which are well-heard of. If we don't know the lyrics and tune, how are we supposed to sing? Also, let students form a worship band, like those in EP. Why do you have a worship band EP when you don't let them play during chapel and instead let either a) Old teachers (tan see keng, et al), b) Older teachers (Grace Kwee), or c) Debaters(ok, maybe just one or two, but don't you get the feeling that its always the same old people on stage?). Oh yeah, we're admin. now, and guess what? Majority of us are still lance-corpral! Only seven on-people got promoted except one... xiang un! How the heck did he become a corpral, he couldn't even march properly! Nevermind, only seven got promoted out of 50> people, so I probably will get promoted at the year's end. Played football at last, first time in many days, wow, never would have imagined that at the start of the year, people getting lazier...
Had a family reunion with cousins from the US coming over. I babysitted them with my usual cousins(as in I see them every week), and was shocked to learn that kindergarten kids these days listen to Linkin Park, Nickelback, and movie soundtracks(shrek 2, MI2, etc). And they watch Spiderman2, Shrek2, Harry Potter... Kids these days, so naugthy, I remember when I was a kid... used to be a kindergarten and montessori celeb. Everyone chasing me in packs in kindergarten, by themselves in montessori, well as ivan said, i did look cute when i was young (xiang un said i look cute today, is that good or bad?). I used to run every time... those were the days...no homework, just going to friend's house to play, or to mine. Power Rangers, playstation, winnie the pooh, batman, spiderman, bomberman, superman, digimon... i wish i could turn back time to when i was young(er)...
Anyway, hosting them was fun, two glasses of riesling(ice wine), talking crap to parent's about how wonderful their children are(they really are cute, all have little bits of me in their personalities) and how my mom is a modern woman who listens to GNR, the darkness(its not my music, really!) Also ate like a pig, so much food, so little time...lol.
In conclusion, my life is really busy right now to the extent that today is no longer saturday, its sunday, which means its time for bed. Ciao, zai zian, goodbye, Au Revoir, Sayonara, Arreverdecci...
