Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year...SCHOOL!
ahoy mateys! we're halfway thru our ib programme, and the sea appears to be getting stormier. argh. at least we've had relative sunshine in nov and dec (oh really?), playing around the beach during drama camp, going home and doing CPR on ur dying dog...
OMFG, your dog died?!?
yes, dear reader, my dog died. unforunately it's ass was on my lap when it passed on, hence dark matter passed out of him and onto my favourite shirt and my mom's car as well. this led to a period of mourning in the family household (my sisters, parents and maids all felt sad for the loss of this canine companion...i felt guilty for not feeling compassionate to the creature that used to bark at me whenever i got home).
moving on, i spent 2 weeks on a CAS blitz, painting a mural at NUH and running 100km with slow, zy, and melvin. the former was a lot of fun, centred mainly on climbing scaffholding without any harness or safety equipment. the latter too, was a unique experience. basically, the route was: sembawang, kranji, woodlands, upper bukit timah, bukit batok, jurong, clementi, pasir panjang, alexandra, tanglin, orchard, kallang, east coast, bedok, serengoon, hougang, seletar, lentor, yishun, sembawang. or something to that effect... one goes slightly mad when walking for 23:45 hours. finished 2nd though, which was cool, cos we were actually underaged and had to appeal to be able to enter.
next up was my quest to finish history ia, ee, and tok. i failed at tok. but i did manage to kind of finish both history and ee. i still feel both were sloppily done, but oh well... i was in a rush! really!!!
2-5 Dec was church camp. as usual i learnt quite a bit. learnt that flybar is an imba band, and attempted to care more for my group. personally, i felt really blessed my rev. malcolm tan's message and his attitude towards Christianity. i don't know, but i wholeheartedly agreed when he said something along the lines of,'to those of you who want to accept Christ, you don't have to raise your hand...' i'm a cynic by nature, and i must confess i always look at those people who raise their hands with cynism. eg. that guy is only raising his hands cos his friends are... the act kinda gives off this feeling that if you don't raise your hand, you are either a) not Christian, or b) not a good one. anyway, learnt that asking for material stuff in prayer is dumb. asking for wisdom is so much... wiser?
14-24 Dec was my family holiday to england and italy. went to london, venice, florence, siena, and milan.... in short london was the same as always, while italy was picturesque and extremely beautiful. i don't have time now, so i'll elaborate another day.
My uncle needs to use the com now. time is running out!!!! ah, screw the rest of this summary of my holidays. look to the future! school starts in 8 hours!!!
2006 is over and 2007 begins... out of the frying pan and into the fire... time to roll up socks... hit the books... i'm running out of phrases already, so ciao!
