world cup fever

i slept at five-thirty after England vs Sweden. i have a headache. seems like i've finally gotten world cup fever. whoa.

in other news, school is starting soon, and to be honest i dont think i've had a holiday as of yet. oh well, nehmine la, at least school=football.

Just watched RHCP Live at Slane Castle. It's a damn good show. Makes me want to start a band soon...the GDC (Greatly Daring Cowards)...ok, maybe not.

Holiday Term (is that oxymoronic?)

well, i'm off to bali soon. but more importantly,

IT'S THE START OF THE WORLD CUP!!!!

...and i'm in bali!!! oh well, i intend to visit the poolside bar where there will probably be loads of grumpy english expats complaining about the current state of football, while of course, watching football.

englishman: aye, that david beckham, he's crap ah!
me: but he is the top passer in la liga, he pwned ronaldinho...
englishman: nooooooo! i played football in england before coming to southeast asia la! i know what i'm talking about!

all englishman are like that. most of them anyway. stubborn folk, they are, much like the king of some random land in monty python and the holy grail, who was trying to get his son to, oh never mind, not that anyone cares about monty python anyway.

oh, and i've just realised. hmmm. when i imagine englishmen speaking, i imagine... carragher speaking wif 'is thick mersey accent, erm, yea.

one final note: this post is titled Holiday Term, and it owes much to the fact that i have 1 history essay and 9, NINE NINE OMISON NINE!!! lwts to complete. that's like more than i have ever written in my entire life. this is besides studying for the mid-years, which happen to be in the second and third weeks of school, COINCIDING with the world cup!

life doesn't get any better.
